Girl Scouts of the San Antonio Area Council

I strongly support the San Antonio Area Girl Scouts (link opens in new window). I believe in their mission to inspire girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism and service that they may become happy and resourceful citizens. They like many other youth organization, such as the Boy Scouts and 4H, hold the key to our heritage - our children.

San Antonio Chapter - American Red Cross

We have a wonderful and very active American Red Cross chapter here in San Antonio. It has supported our community and other neighboring communities through many traumatic events, from flood, tornados, hurricanes and national disasters. My involvement with the chapter is as an American Red Cross Volunteer Instructor Trainer for Health and Safety. I teach volunteers to teach the American Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses. My involvement is primarily focused through the Girl Scouts, as each troop much have an adult trained in First Aid and CPR at all events. It keeps me busy and, just like being a Girl Scout trainer - I have a captive audience for my jokes!
